Naan Puri...

Ran out of ideas to make something new, tasty, easy and in a jiffy, here comes "Naan Puri" to your rescue.

Naan Puri...
Ingredients-
All Purpose Flour / Maida - 3 cups
Curd - 1 cup
Milk - 4 tbsp (optional)
Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp
Baking Powder - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Sugar - 2 tsp
Water - As required for a very soft dough
Oil - 2 tbsp for kneading and as much as required for deep frying the puris
Method-
In a bowl, add all the dry ingredients.
Make a mixture of milk, curd and sugar.
Now add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients, and knead into a soft dough. Add oil, knead again and keep it covered with a soft wet cloth for 3 hours for the fermentation to take place resulting into a perfect texture and taste.

Once ready, knead into medium sized flat balls, and with the help of some oil roll into thick rotis. It should be a little thicker then your regular rotis. You can stretch them to give them an oval shape like in restaurants. Now heat oil in a kadai and when it's hot enough for frying add the puris one by one and fry them from both sides applying light pressure with the chanta on the puris untill the puris puff up. Now strain the excess oil and serve the naan puris hot with any veg or non veg curry of your choice.
