Dudh Lau...

Therefore here I present before you a very popular recipe of the Bengali households- "Dudh Lau", prepared to relieve all from the daily toil of excavating some distinct cuisine at the dinner table to please your taste buds. Dudh Lau...
Ingredients-
5 cups chopped Lau (Bottle Gourd)
1 cup Milk
1-2 Bay Leaf
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds 
2 Green Chilli
1 Dry Red Chilli
1/4 tsp Red Chilli powder
1/4 tsp Black Pepper powder
Salt and Sugar to taste
Mustard Oil
1 tbsp Ghee
A handful of Bori (Dry Lentil Ball)
Method-
Heat oil in a kadhai. Add the boris. Fry till golden brown in colour. Take them out of the kadai and keep them aside. Add more oil if required. Then add the bay leaf, kalojeera. Once it starts sizzling add the green chillies, dry red chilli and finely chopped lau. Cover & cook the lau on low flame. Add salt, sugar, red chilli powder and black pepper powder and mix well. Then add the milk, bring to a boil, cover and cook for another 5 mints till gets soft. Add the boris. Mix well. Switch off the flame & add ghee. Serve Dudh Lau with steaming hot rice.
