Bhola Mach ar Jhal...
Ingredients-
4 whole Bhola Mach
1 large Onion, chopped
2 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste
1 Potato, cut in wedges
1 Tomato, chopped
1 tsp Kalojeera (Kalaonji / Nigella Seeds / Onion Seeds)
1 Bay Leaf
1 Dry Red Chilli
1 tsp Red Chilli powder
3 Green Chillies, chopped
1 tbsp Coriander leaves, chopped
1 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Black Pepper powder
Salt and Sugar to taste
Mustard Oil
Method-
Wash and marinate the fish with salt and turmeric powder, fry well and keep aside. Add the kalojeera, dry red chilli, bay leaf and green chillies. Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute well. Add the chopped onion and saute well. Add the potato and fry well. Now add the chopped tomato and cook till the tomato softens. Add salt, sugar, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and black pepper powder and mix well and cook until the oil separates. Add water and boil till the potatoes soften. Now add the fish and simmer till the fish absorbs all the masalas well. Add the chopped coriander leaves and serve with steaming hot rice.
