Oats Khichdi

Oats Khichdi...
Ingredients-
½ cup Moong Dal
1 cup Rolled Oats 
Few strands of Coriander Leaves, chopped and Curry Leaves
Cumin/Jeera - 1 tsp 
1-2 Bay Leaves
1 inch Ginger, chopped
1 Onion, chopped 
1 Tomato, chopped
½ Carrot, chopped
4 Beans, chopped 
1 Potato, chopped 
1/4 Cabbage, chopped 
1/2 Cauliflower/Broccoli, chopped 
2-3 Green and Red Chillies 
1 cup Nutrela
4 cups Water
1 tsp Turmeric 
1 tsp Red Chilli powder 
1 tsp Jeera powder 
1 tsp Coriander powder 
1 tsp Garam Masala powder 
1 tsp Black Pepper powder
pinch of Hing 
1 tsp Ghee
Salt to taste
Method-
Firstly, wash and soak moong dal in water for 5 minutes.
furthermore, heat the ghee in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds,hing,bay leaves and the chillies.
When they sizzle, add curry leaves and ginger. saute till it turns aromatic.
Now add the chopped vegetables and saute till they change colour.
Furthermore, add tomatoes and fry till they turn soft and mushy.
Drain the water from half cup dal and add along with the masalas. Fry for about 2 to 3 minutes.
Furthermore, add 1 cup of oats, salt and fry for about 2 minutes.
Pour 4 cups of water and give a mix.
You can adjust the quantity of water to make it mushy or slightly grainy. On a medium flame, pressure cook for two whistle. Add the soaked nutrelas in Salt water. Mix well.
Finally, serve oats khichdi warm after garnishing with some coriander leaves and egg bhurji and with any curry of your choice.
