Corn Samosa...
Ingredients-
For the dough-
All-purpose Flour/Maida - 1cup
Salt - To taste
Oil - 1 tsp
Water for kneading
For the filling-
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Sweet Corn, boiled - 1 cup
Potato, boiled - 2 medium-sized
Red Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Black Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Chaat Masala - 1/2 tsp
Green chillies, chopped - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 1 1/2 tbsp
Salt as required
Oil for deep frying
Method-
Filling-
In a pan, heat half tbsp of oil and add the whole jeera, add the boiled sweet corn, add the boiled potatoes, smash them roughly, add the red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, black pepper powder, chaat masala, chopped green chillies, salt to taste, mix well and keep aside till cooled completely.
Dough-
Combine salt, all-purpose flour/maida, oil and knead into a soft dough using water as required. Cover and set aside for about 20 minutes.
Samosa-
Roll medium-sized chapattis of dough and cut it into two from the centre to get a two half-moon shaped chapattis. Fold each half shaped chapatti into a hollow cone and stuff the prepared filling in the cone and fold the ends as shown in the pictures below.
Heat oil in a wok for deep frying.
Drop the samosas into the oil.
Fry the samosas until golden brown on medium flame.
Remove them and place them on a tissue paper.
Serve the samosas with ketchup or sweet chutney.
