Baked Litti Chokha...

Ran out of ideas to make something new, tasty, easy and in a jiffy, here comes "Baked Litti Chokha" to your rescue.


Baked Litti Chokha... 
Ingredients- 
For Dough-
1½ cup Wheat Flour (Atta) or Maida
¼ tsp Baking Powder
¼ tsp Ajwain/Carom seeds
½ tsp Salt
2 tbsp Ghee (Clarified Butter)
Water for kneading
For Stuffing-
1 cup Sattu (roasted Gram Flour)
2 tbsp Coriander, finely chopped
1 Chilli, finely chopped
½ tsp Ginger Garlic paste
½ tsp Cumin seeds
½ tsp Kalonji (Onion seeds/Nigella seeds)
¼ tsp  Ajwain
¼ tsp Salt
1 tsp Lemon juice
2 tbsp Mustard Oil 
1 tbsp Pickle
For Chokha- 
2 medium-sized boiled Potatoes
1 big rounded Brinjal
3 medium-sized Tomatoes
4-5 Garlic cloves, peeled
2-4 finely chopped Green Chillies
1/2 ” piece of Ginger, grated
2 medium-sized Onions, finely chopped
1 tbsp finely chopped Coriander Leaves
2 tsp Mustard Oil
1 tsp Red Chilli powder
1 tsp Black Pepper powder
Salt to taste
Method- 
Boil the potatoes remove the skin and keep aside.
Roast brinjal and tomatoes in the oven or on the gas stove on medium flame from both the sides until it becomes soft.
Peel of the burnt skin of the brinjal.
Mash boiled potatoes, brinjal along with garlic and tomatoes together.
Add finely chopped onion, coriander leaves, grated ginger, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, salt, green chillies and mustard oil.
Mix all the ingredients with hands properly.
Chokha is ready.
Pinch a small ball sized dough. Press the edges and form a cup, further place a ball sized sattu stuffing 


in the centre, start pleating the dough, making sure the stuffing is secured well, pinch off excess dough and roll well. Place the rolled litti in the baking tray and bake them in a preheated oven at 180-degree Celcius for 45 minutes flipping in between, until the litti turns golden brown from all the sides and cooked from inside.


Finally, litti is ready to be served with chokha/ghee.
